Amor, Barrett, Barry, Fisk & Siegal

To celebrate the 20th Linton Festival a group of extraordinary musicians have come together to create a unique blues-rock experience.

Calling themselves “Amor, Barrett, Barry, Fisk and Siegal” the band is comprised of members from The Hoax, Boom Band, Hokie Joint, LaVendore Rogue, Mississippi Mudbloods and many more!

To those that follow the blues genre they are Jon Amor, Joel Fisk, Mark Barrett, Rob Barry and Ian Siegal.

When Joel Fisk was asked to put together a “super group” for Linton Festival 2020, a few names popped into his head immediately.

This band consists of members who have all played together r on numerous occasions, but never all at the same time!

The name is the height of imagination, but give you a clue of its members: Amor, Barrett, Barry, Fisk & Siegal.

So, in alphabetical order…

Having made his name as a guitar player with legendary UK Blues band The Hoax, Jon Amor has established himself as a find singer/songwriter in his own right, releasing a string of highly acclaimed solo albums, spearheading the widely successful Jon Amor Blues Group and as part of the all-star UK line-up The Boom Band.

Behind the drum set is Mark Barrett, of The Hoax, 22-20s and Beaux Gris-Gris & The Apocalypse fame. Mark has shared the bill with BB King, Jimmie Vaughan, Eric Clapton and Johnny Winter to name but a few. Nominated 4 times for Drummer of the Year in the British Blues Awards.

On bass is Rob “Tank” Barry, 3-time Digital Blues Award winning Bass Player of the Year. Founder member of LaVendore Rogue, Joel Fisk & The Breakdown, Tim Aves & Wolfpack and The Rockin’ Armadillos. Rob has also played with such artists as Lightnin’ Willie, Hokie Joint, Jose Ramirez, Son Henry and Bobby Patterson.

5-time Guitarist of the Year nominee and UK Blues Challenge winner Joel Fisk burst onto the scene as a founder member of award-winning band Hokie Joint. He went on to form LaVendore Rogue, who have played shows all over the UK, Europe and in Memphis, TN.
He performed heavily on the UK Blues Scene with solo project, Joel Fisk & The Breakdown as well as Tim Aves & Wolfpack, before joining forces with Jon Amor to form The Fisk Amor Electro Acoustic Duo, who went on to be awarded runner up in the British Blues Awards Acoustic Act of the Year category.
In 2016 Joel toured as a member of Ian Siegal’s band for his 25th anniversary as a touring artist.

In Siegal’s 25+ years of touring, his mission statement has barely changed: songs that are real, shows that resonate, vocals served raw. Today he is considered by many to be the most compelling British Blues artiste since the great names of the sixties.
Tagged by Classic Rock Magazine as “a national treasure”, American’s Blues Bible says “vast talent” and MOJO magazine ranks him “the cleverest writer and most magnetic Blues performer in the UK”. He has taken his music to some 50 countries and presided over a trophy haul that includes two UK Blues Awards, ten British Blues Awards, four European Blues Awards, two MOJO Blues Albums of the Year and three US Blues Music Award nominations.

Together this group will throw their influences into a melting pot of Roots, Blues, Soul, Americana, Country and Rock & Roll.

To those that follow the blues genre they are Jon Amor, Joel Fisk, Mark Barrett, Rob Barry and Ian Siegal.
